What is a pigeon shock track?

Like most bird deterrent products, a pigeon shock track is designed to prevent birds from landing and sitting in one place too long. Shock strips simply employ electricity to get the point across rather than long metal spikes. Some people prefer shock tracks because the birds land and get a physical zap that they can associate with a particular area. Other deterrent methods, like needle strips, simply prevent birds from landing at all. While these can be very effective, they do nothing to modify pigeon behavior, and the birds may return to try and roost a different day. The other upside to shock tracks is they are visually low-key. Many homeowners don't like the appearance of bird spikes on their buildings, and shock strips tend to be flat, disappearing into the natural materials of a home.
